From Edward II to Richard III: English History 1307 - 1485

This course has now reached it maximum numbers. MANCENT apologizes for the disappointment and hopes that one of the other courses will be of interest.

This introductory level course examines English political history in the later middle ages. Topics covered include the depositions of Edward II and Richard II, Edward III and the Hundred Years War, the Peasants’ Revolt, the Lancastrian and Yorkist dynasties and the Wars of the Roses.

Late Medieval Europe c.1300 – c.1500: Political Geography

This introductory level course offers a wide-ranging, region by region examination of historical developments in continental Europe in the later middle ages. Countries studied will include France, Spain and Italy, as well as less well known areas such as Muscovy and the Byzantine Empire.
