Registering your interest

Why?

First of all, you don't have to take part in our courses and we would like to assure all registered students, that we are not handing your data to anybody outside the network. We also don't keep your data online, so there is no chance of getting spammed because of your interest with us.

So why then register? MANCENT is a network of students and lecturers. This means that if possible we are trying to match your interests with what our lecturers can offer. To do this successfully we would like to know, what you are looking for, and where within Greater Manchester (incl. Warrington and Bolton) you are willing to travel. Once the autumn (September -December) programme is ready, we will start looking into the spring programme (January to June). Your information will be used to approach possible new lecturer and venues, as well as looking for data. We cannot guarantee to match all your needs, but you can be assured that we will try our best to fulfil your wishes.

Not got an email address or the ability to print?

The other reason why you might want to register yourself or a friend is the paper programme: MANCENT is operating with a very tight budget and we are conscious of the environment, thus we try and keep our paper issues to a minimum. Paper programmes go only out to students, who can't download them from the Internet. Registering your interest in a paper copy means that we will send you twice yearly our programme by post. Alternatively, if you have access to a printer, you can print it out as a .pdf file from this site. (the Autumn programme will be published at the beginning of May 2009).

How do I register?

Please send an email, with your name and address (postal if you want the paper copy) to our administrator (latinteacher@btinternet.com). If possible, indicate your areas of interest (eg. Theology, Literature, Music, History, Archaeology, Science) and what areas you would be willing to travel to (CENTRAL Manchester, SOUTH Manchester and NORTH CHESHIRE as far as Sale/Altrincham), NORTH Manchester (incl. Bolton), EAST MANCHESTER and WEST MANCHESTER (incl. WARRINGTON).
